Welcome to my website. Here you will find information about me and my practice. Choosing a therapist is an important and often difficult decision to make. You want someone who is sensitive, supportive, caring, and knowledgeable. Someone whose style and personality will best suit your needs. I hope you find the information in the following pages helpful in choosing a psychologist.

I welcome the opportunity to work with individuals, couples, and families who are dealing with important issues and transitions in their lives. I see people who often struggle with feelings of depression, anxiety, stress, and worries. Some of my clients seek to make sense of traumatic experiences and to come to terms with painful and uncomfortable feelings. Many struggle with identity and self-esteem issues. I also specialize in couples and family therapy and see partners of varied orientations. I have worked extensively with survivors of childhood physical and sexual abuse. I am also interested in women’s issues, acculturation, and in working with LGBT clients.

I provide therapy both in English and Spanish. Using an integrative and collaborative approach, I tailor treatment to my clients’ individual needs. I am committed to honoring the feelings of my clients and to understanding their subjective experiences. My goal is to help them identify the sources of their distress, find solutions to their problems, heal and, above all, attain personal growth. I strive to help clients empower themselves and develop the insight  and tools they need to move forward in their lives. I seek to provide a comfortable and confidential atmosphere where trust and a sense of safety can be developed over time.
